The Advantages and Disadvantages:
Talking about team India, anyone who watches Cricket and has seen India play, will surely agree with me that the Indian National Team has a tremendously strong and active Batting side. I mean, they have Role playing batsmen till the fall of 5th wicket and potential batsmen till the fall of 7th wicket! If making runs wins games, India will surely give tough time to any other team.
There bowling side is comparatively weaker than the Batting side. But this doesn’t mean that they lack good bowlers. They have some of their excellent bowlers in the Squad. Take for instance Harbajan Singh. He is a spinner. The perfect kind of bowler to exploit the climatic and pitch conditions.
But wait, there is one thing that can crush the Indian team. Pressure Handling that is. The team is good at in match pressure handling. I am not pointing towards that kind of pressure where the team vary its tactics and strategies according to the game conditions. I am talking about the pressure of playing at home Indian team is under burden of. Playing at home and make things happen your way at the same time is a very tricky thing. Veterans even fail at it sometimes. Not only in Cricket, the same psyche is observed in other games too, like football.

What do WE have that they don’t have?
What do we have that they don’t have? My friends asked me to comment on this question. Me thinks that this question is very lame and stupid. How can anyone compare two different teams? I mean to say there are some aspects of the game where Pakistan is stronger than India. Like, Pakistan is an unpredictable team. The team does the impossible. Have you seen the way Pakistan performed in the recent ODI series against New Zealand? It was flawless…. Pakistani Cricket team is surrounded with problems with varieties form Managerial to within the team problems. But at the same time Pakistani team outclassed New Zealand in climatic and pitch conditions which are way different from that of Pakistan. That’s the asset of Pakistani team.
Other than the incredible tactic flexibility, Pakistan has a good squad which has veterans too.If you observe the Squad you will observe that majority of the players is in the 30s age group. The in-game experience of these senior players will prove to be beneficial for the Pakistani team.
Same as the case of the Indian team, the pitch and climatic conditions will prove to be an advantage to the Pakistani bowlers and batsmen. Pakistan will not be under any pressure of playing at home as they are not to host the event.
According to me, Pakistani team and Indian team will both give other teams a tough fight. Both teams have some advantages and some difficulties attached to them but still they can have the larger piece of the cake. Me thinks ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will be a treat to watch, a Classico for the Cricket fans!
